The project was carried out under the Program for the Recovery of the Argentine Industrial Sector, commissioned by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization through the Livestock Area of Fundación Argentina de Bienestar Animal – FABA (Animal Foundation for Animal Welfare) and financed by Cooperazione Italiana.

The final outputs were a Handbook on Good Practices with High Animal Welfare Standards, geared at beef production in pasture systems, and a Handbook on High Standards of Animal Welfare for dairy goats in intensive systems, which were audited by experts from Italy, Spain, and Austria on behalf of the European Union.
